Share Your Story.

Every person who visits the South Portland Food Cupboard carries a story. Whether you’ve come to us for groceries, volunteered your time, or partnered with us in other ways, your experience matters.

We're inviting you to share your story with us in 2025.

Why We’re Listening

Stories help us understand the real impact of our work beyond numbers and statistics. They can show the value of a smile, a warm meal, or a moment of kindness during hard times. When you share your experience, you help shine a light on the importance of food access and reduce the stigma that often surrounds asking for help.

Your Comfort Comes First

You can share your story anonymously or with your first name and last initial — it’s up to you. We will never share your full name or personal details without your permission. Your story may be featured in SPFC’s outreach materials, such as newsletters, social media, or our website — but only with your consent.

How to Share

You’ll be able to submit your story through an online form, in person at the food cupboard, or even through a written letter. We're happy to help you share in whatever way feels most comfortable. Your story can be a sentence or a few paragraphs — anything you feel moved to say.
