Updates from the Team
Parking Lot Attendants
In order to have things run more smoothly, we will need to have three parking lot attendants on Tuesday and three on Thursday, as well. We will also need three parking lot attendants for the first Wednesday night of each month.
It would be very good if we could have four in order to cover for one another.
We have purchased some red/reflective winter jackets, gloves, flashlights, and walkie-talkies.

Sick Policy
It’s that time of the year! Please do not come on site if you have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, a contagious illness, or symptoms such as a new cough, sore throat, or significant fatigue. You may return once you have been fever-free and symptom-free for at least 24 hours and feel well enough to participate. If you have a lingering cough but are otherwise feeling well, please wear a mask while on site. We appreciate everyone doing their part to protect one another, especially while handling and distributing food. In the event that you do stay home, please give us a call or email Peter (peter@southportlandfoodcupboard.org) or Nicolette (
nicolette@southportlandfoodcupboard.org) to let us know you won’t be in. Thank you!
New Volunteer Position: Parking Attendant
As we transition into our new space, we are introducing a new volunteer role on distribution days to help guide the flow of traffic and ensure a smooth experience for our neighbors. If you are interested in learning more or signing up, please reach out to Dwayne at Dwayne@southportlandfoodcupboard.org.
Move-In Updates
We are writing to share updated information related to our move-in timeline and to highlight several important upcoming dates. Please be sure to save the following as we move forward with this transition:

Last Tuesday distribution at 130 Thadeus Street: January 13th

Last Thursday distribution at 130 Thadeus Street: January 15th

FIRST distribution at Western Ave: January 20
Please note: Unless otherwise stated, all operations remain at 130 Thadeus Street until January 16th.

Parking Information

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: Volunteers may park anywhere out back except the loading dock.

Tuesday and Thursday: Please park along the perimeter or in the front of the building, then walk around to the back.

Distribution Days: A parking attendant will be on site to assist recipients and help maintain traffic flow.

Safety Reminder: Please watch for icy spots when parking and walking on site.
